The choice meant that despite serving 10 years in the British military, Harry was not initially expected to be allowed to wear his uniform to royal events in honor of Queen Elizabeth II, who died on September 8 aged 96.
In a statement issued earlier in the week, a spokesman for the Duke of Sussex said he would instead wear a “morning suit to events honoring his grandmother”.
However, King Charles has reportedly decided on Friday that Harry will be able to wear his military uniform as he stands guard over the Queen’s coffin alongside his brother Prince William and six of his cousins.

Charles’ decision to wear his uniform came after his two sons and their wives Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle briefly reunited to greet well-wishers and lay floral tributes outside Windsor Castle on September 10. Reconciliation may be on the cards.
