What Percent Of The Us Population Served In The Military
In total, there were 2,395,993 military personnel in the US Armed Forces in 2020. Of this number, 600,455 were members aged 25 and under, 285,736 were aged 26 to 30, and 197,472 were between 31 and 31. 25, 144, 229 were 36 to 40, and 105, 930 were 41 and over (counting active duty only).

Of the active duty personnel population, 891,790 had a high school diploma or GED, 190,664 had a bachelor’s degree, and 115,877 had an associate’s degree. In contrast, 1,454 did not have diplomas and 24,706 did not disclose their educational level. From this, we can see that most personnel joined the US armed forces fresh out of high school, and it was realized that about 600 thousand active duty population was 25 years or less.
As you can see, the Army has the most personnel out of all 5 branches of the US Armed Forces. The second most populated branch is the Air Force, while the least populated branch is the Coast Guard.

Unbanked adults are defined as those without a checking or savings account. Of those, half report that someone in their household has a checking or savings account, and half — or 5 percent of all American adults — report that no one in their household has a checking or savings account.
Another important, but difficult to define, group is the underbanked. These are people who have a checking or savings account but who also report accessing alternative financial services outside of a bank or credit union. Specifically, the Morning Consult survey described at least 1 in 3 activities with a provider other than a bank or credit union in the past year: purchased a money order, paid bills or cashed a check.
Compared to fully banked consumers, or those who have a checking or savings account and do none of the three activities with any of the above providers, the unbanked, unbanked and underbanked adults, youth, poor and Fewer are white identities. One notable difference between underbanked and underbanked consumers, however, is gender: underbanked adults are more likely to be male, while unbanked adults are more likely to be female. Women are less likely than men to say they participate “a lot” in their household’s financial decisions, and are more likely to say that someone else in their household has a bank account because they don’t have one.
