Military budgets often reflect how likely a country is to be threatened, or whether an aggressor wants to assemble. It also gives an idea of how money should be allocated in the next fiscal year. The size of the budget also reflects a country’s ability to finance military operations.
Factors include the size of the country’s economy, other financial requirements for that number, and the willingness of the nation’s government or people to support such military operations. The general exception to military spending is domestic law enforcement and disability rehabilitation. The impact of military spending on the national economy and society, as well as the determinants of military spending, are issues that appear in political and economic dimensions. There are conflicting answers and opinions about this topic. Overall, some argue that military spending is a boost to the local economy.
Among the countries that continue to spend the largest military budgets in the world, China, India, France, Germany, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States are recognized as major countries.
