Among the first forms of identification called “dog tags” appeared in the Prussian Army in the 1870s. It comes from the word “

During the Great Depression, President Franklin D. Roosevelt enacted the Social Security Act. By calculation, the idea was to assign a social security number to all workers across America. Enter William Randolph Hearst. History buffs may remember him as a media pioneer who handled the news of the day. Film experts know him as the unofficial title of “Citizen Kane.” He was also a staunch opponent of FDR and the New Deal.
Hearst began spreading rumors about how the Social Security Act would tag all employees and scan them for all of their personal information. In fact, only one was ever created as an example in the great debate and shot before the cards we use today.
As the military adopted the SSN on their tags, it was more proof Hearst needed that FDR wanted to destroy America. The fear of “being treated like dogs! Your personal information will be deleted! WIESBADEN, Germany – Local German Simon Krieger-Pleus found the identification tags of U.S. World War II soldiers. during nature walks on outstanding trails in July.
As the eldest son of the Krieger-Pleus family approached the object, “a silver chain could be seen on the surface and then dug up,” he said.
Krieger-Pleus knew that the U.S. dog and that, “it was a personal and special treasure,” said his mother, Petra. “He didn’t want to withhold this from the Soldier’s Family.”
