After experiencing mild symptoms over the weekend, he was tested for COVID-19 at Birkhall, his Scottish home on the Balmoral estate, on Monday. The Duchess of Cornwall was also tested and her results were negative. Both tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire and members of the royal family are now self-isolating.
Despite Prince Charles’ diagnosis, a palace source told Town & Country that his condition was “unlikely to develop into a more serious case”.
